Eight members of the Serbisyong Inklusibo Alyansang Pogresibo (SIAP) Party and BARMM Grand Coalition have filed their certificates of candidacy (COC) for representatives for the eight districts of Lanao del Sur for the 2025 Bangsamoro parliamentary elections.
These include Princess Pala Amer Lanto-Gandamra for District 1; Alexander Guro Alonto Jr. for District 2; Abdul Rauf Abedin Adiong for District 3; Amenodin Usodan Sumagayan for District 4; Arimao Sayagambar Asum for District 5; Hosni Boloto Macapodi for District 6; Ali-Usman Sarangani Mindalano for District 7; and Abdulrashid Alonto Balindong for District 8.
According to the provincial election officer of Lanao del Sur, the filing of COC of the eight was delayed due to the decision of the Supreme Court to exclude Sulu from the Bangsamoro region.
“Agi aning parliamentary districts katong nahitabo sa Sulu mao tong naka prompt ani mao na move siya to this date,” Lanao del Sur Provincial Election Officer, Atty. Ellis Miguel, said.
Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal Adiong, Jr. was dismayed over the high court’s decision to exclude Sulu from BARMM, especially that they are eyeing Sulu Governor Sakur Tan as candidate for prime minister if their party wins.
"Malaking kawalan sa buong Barmm na nawala ang Sulu, alam naman natin na anong pweding itolong iambag ang province of sulu sa pagkawala niya sa Barmm pero Meron pa rin naman tayong nag MR pa rin,” Adiong said.
One of the priorities of BARMM Grand Coalition and SIAP Party is to help religious workers and teachers of madrasah schools in BARMM.
"Gusto ko bigyan ng incentives yong mga religious workers natin, mga teachers natin in madrasah… marami ng lumalapit sa akin minsan,” BARMM Grand Coalition/SIAP Party Nominee, Atty. Zacaria Amir Adiong Rakim, said.
