Typhoon #MarcePH has made landfall in Santa Ana, Cagayan at 3:40 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), as of 2:00 p.m. on November 7, 2024, the typhoon is moving west-northwestward at a speed of 10 km/h and has maximum sustained winds of 175 km/h near its center, with gustiness reaching up to 240 km/h.

Rainfall and Coastal Inundation Risks:
Heavy Rainfall Outlook (November 7):
- Intense to torrential (>200 mm) rainfall is expected in Cagayan, Ilocos Norte, and Apayao.
- Heavy to intense (100–200 mm) rainfall is forecasted for Batanes, Ilocos Sur, Isabela, and Abra.
- Moderate to heavy (50–100 mm) rainfall is possible in La Union, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Benguet, and Ifugao.
Coastal Inundation: A high risk of life-threatening storm surge is expected, with peak surge heights exceeding 3.0 meters in low-lying or exposed coastal areas of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and La Union. Mariners are advised to avoid sea travel in these regions.
Sea Conditions:
- Gale Warnings are in effect for the seaboards of Northern and Central Luzon. Sea conditions are expected to worsen, with wave heights reaching up to 12.0 meters in some areas, including the Babuyan Islands and the northern seaboard of mainland Cagayan.
Track and Intensity Outlook:
Typhoon #MarcePH is expected to continue its westward movement, briefly emerging over Aparri Bay and making another landfall along the northwestern Cagayan coast. The typhoon is likely to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility by Friday afternoon or evening, November 8, 2024.
