Three days after the fatal shooting of former Barangay Gabon chairman Dexter Jimenez in Calasiao, Pangasinan, police are considering three possible motives.
These motives are reportedly related to debt, Jimenez's work as a real estate broker, and his assistance with pension transactions.
"Sa ngayon, dire-diretso pa rin ang follow-up natin and we were able to get the motive kung ano ang nangyari," PLTCOL Ferdinand Lopez, Calasiao Police Chief, said.
Jimenez was shot multiple times while inside his vehicle in Barangay San Miguel.
He was pronounced dead at the scene with six gunshot wounds to his head and body.
The night before, neighbors reportedly heard him shouting outside his home.
"One night before, parang lasing ang ating biktima, parang nagsisigaw doon at naghahamon kung sino ang siga... pero hindi naman pinatulan," Lopez said.
The victim’s wife and a female companion, both injured during the incident, are now in stable condition.
