A group of delivery riders in Davao City wants the local government to spare them from securing a business permit.

Nearly 50 riders gathered on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 in front of the City Council Building.

They brought placards that said, “Rider ko, dili ko negosyante.”

The group also visited the offices of some city councilors to ask them to support the call.

Since 2021, the local government has required delivery riders to secure a business permit before they can provide delivery services to their clients.
