Two men were shot and killed in separate incidents in Abra on November 1, 2024, as communities across the province observed All Saints' Day.

One of the two, 55-year-old Bobby Quintana, was gunned down around 7 p.m. in Barangay Poblacion East, San Quintin.

Based on police reports, an argument broke out between Quintana and another man while they were drinking, which escalated into a fatal shooting.

"Siguro, hindi na nila na-kontrol ang temper nila, dahil sa kalasingan. Hindi ito related sa pulitika dahil magkakamag-anak ang mga ito," PCpt. Allan Angelo Rojo, Chief of the San Quintin Police, said.

Quintana’s family, grieving his sudden death, pleas for justice.

"Masakit sa aming magkakapatid... sana mabigyan siya ng hustisya," Emily Hufalar, Quintana's sister, said.

Meanwhile, in Barangay Sacaang, Sallapadan, 42-year-old Jansen Blanza was shot outside his home on the same evening.

Blanza was about to enter his house when an unidentified assailant opened fire, wounding him fatally.

He died later while receiving medical treatment.

Police are investigating both incidents, while the suspects in each case remain at large, as of this writing.
