Nearly two months after the previous incident, schools of sardine locally called "tuloy" beached off again in Barangay Basdiot, Moalboal town in southern Cebu Province morning on November 3, 2024.

Residents in wild excitement brought fish nets and other fishing implements, as well as vats and other containers to gather the fish.

On September 11, 2024, a beaching of a variety of Sardinella was caught on video by a netizen in Panagsama Beach, Moalboal town, at past 7 a.m.

Off Panagsama Beach is a coral reef that drops off at a depth of up to 230 feet. The location is popular for its schools of sardine, and its sardine run or sardine swirl.

Also in September 2024, Panagsama Beach was picked by Condé Nast Traveller as one of best beaches in Southeast Asia. Condé Nast Traveller is an award-winning travel magazine and website based in New York, USA.
