A time-lapse footage showed gray ash being entrained or brought out by continuous degassing from the Kanlaon Volcano summit crater.
The "ashing" event was observed at 11:49 a.m. to 12:02 p.m. on November 2, 2024.
No detectable seismic or infrasound signals were recorded by the Canlaon City Observation station IP Camera.
The events generated light-gray plumes that rose 500 meters above the crater before drifting south.
On November 1, 2024, "ashing" events were observed between 7:20 a.m. and 7:39 a.m. that lasted 19 (nineteen) minutes; no detectable seismic or infrasound signals were recorded.
