Members of cause-oriented groups in Central Visayas honor the memory of colleagues and friends, and other persons who died of alleged extrajudicial killings (EJK) and human rights violations.

Families, friends, and colleagues of victims also joined in the memorial lighting of candles, offering of flowers and prayers at Santa Cruz (Holy Cross) at the Carreta Public Cemetery on November 1, 2024.

According to Dyan Gumanao, the organizer, the activity symbolizes their perpetual call for justice  and accountability of perpetrators of crime against the Filipino people.

The organizer showed photographs of the victims marked with the word “Hustisya.”
