Painter and antique collector Tito Estrada, 65, was laid to rest morning on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in Antipolo City, with family, friends, and colleagues gathering to pay their respects.

Estrada, a native of Pangasinan, was found dead inside his home on October 23, 2024.

Estrada’s sister, Dolores Estrada-Montemayor, expressed the family’s grief and determination for answers.

“Siyempre naman, kailangan mag-seek kami ng justice sa pagkamatay ng kapatid ko,” she said.

Estrada’s niece, Claire Zabala, said the family was devastated to learn the autopsy ruled out natural causes.

“The remains were discovered after three days, and according to [the] autopsy, it was not a natural death,” she said.

Estrada's family is working closely with the Antipolo City Police in the ongoing investigation, which they confirmed includes a person of interest.

“May person of interest tayo at kumakalap lang tayo ng mga sufficient evidence upang tumayo sa korte,” Antipolo City Police Chief PLTCOL. Ryan Manongdo said.

While details remain undisclosed, Manongdo assured the public of their commitment:

“Gagawin po natin ang lahat ng ating makakaya upang maresolba ito sa madaling panahon.”

Estrada’s artwork has been featured in government offices and prominent hotels in Manila, and he was well-known for his international exhibits.
