At least 200 personnel of the Lapu-Lapu City Police will be deployed at four big cemeteries in the city to ensure order, safety, and security in the observance of All Saints Day and All Souls Day.

The said number does not include yet the force multipliers.

The deployment is set on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, until Saturday, November 2, 2024.

Police Lt. Col. Christian Torres, spokesperson of the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LLCPO), said that beginning October 28, 2024, the filing of a leave of absence is cancelled until the third week of November 2024.

Lapu-Lapu City Police will have a hectic schedule in November because right after the observance of “Kalag-Kalag 2024,” religious and sociocultural activities will commence in line with the city’s festivity on November 21, 2024 in honor of Nuestra Señora Virgen de Regla (Our Lady of Rule).

Aside from the said activities, an international conference of justices will be held in Lapu-Lapu City on November 18 to November 21, 2024.

Given the busy schedule, LLCPO has mulled  on requesting an augmentation force from the Regional Mobile Force Company.
