A man and his son died after the motorcycle they were riding collided with a speeding van in San Carlos City, Pangasinan.
Closed circuit television (CCTV) footage shows the van overtaking a tricycle in Barangay Coliling just moments before it collided with the motorcycle.
Police said the van crossed the opposite lane, which caused the collision.
Aldrin Tamayo, duty officer of the San Carlos City Police, said.
Due to the impact, Arnel Hitomo, 58, and his son, Raymart, 26, sustained severe injuries and were rushed to the hospital.
They were both declared dead on arrival.
The van driver, who suffered minor injuries, tested negative in an alcohol breath test.
The Hitomo family, grieving over the loss, said Arnel and Raymart worked as chainsaw operators and were returning home to Barangay Magtaking when the accident occurred.
Authorities are now preparing charges against the van driver.
