Over 95,000 individuals were evacuated and 300 were rescued in various municipalities in Camarines Sur due to Tropical Storm #KristinePH, Governor Luigi Villafuerte announced on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing, as of this writing, at areas that are affected heavily, including:
- Nabua.
- Bula,
- Bato,
- Pili; and,
- Ocampo.
The governor also said rescue operations are underway for passengers of the Philippine National Railways (PNR) who were stranded in Naga City.
"Igwa man kitang ongoing na rescue operations sa mga stranded na pasahero nin PNR sa Naga City ngunyan," he said.
As the province continues to feel the effects of the storm, Villafuerte urged residents to remain alert and seek for safe places.
“Mantang sige pa an pagpara-uran, padagos po kitang magin alerto. Sa mga lubog pa sa baha, maghanap po muna kitang halangkaw asin ligtas na lugar o parte kan satong harong na pwede tang ebakwaran,” he added.
The Camarines Sur Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) assured that help will be provided to those in need.
