A 13-year-old boy who was planning to leave a gang he was a part of was stabbed to death in Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental.

Police said the victim’s fellow gang members mauled him before the 14-year-old suspect stabbed him to death.

Their group is called “Young guns.”

Authorities said the victim and the suspect have had an existing conflict.

“Naa nay bikil ning duha, kining atong CICL (Child in confict with the law), gi-attempt og saksak aning biktima before… wala lang siya napurohan… nag-decide ning biktima nato nga mogawas sa ilang grupo,” Tagoloan Municipal Police Station Chief, Major Dennis Serrano, said.

"Diri sa grupo sa CICL, napulo man sila kabuok nga puro menor de edad kontra aning biktima… that time nga nagsinumbagay na sila, mao to nga nahinaykan gyud ug saksak ang biktima,” Serrano added.

The family of the victim is calling for justice and is determined to file charges against the suspect.

"Kanang mga grupoha, kinahanglan, kung tinuod man gani na gang-gang nila, ug pwede, tabangan nato na sila ug buwag kay wala man na hinungdan,” the victim’s uncle said.

The 14-year-old suspect was turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
