Tropical Storm (TS) #KristinePH has slightly intensified while moving west northwestward over the Philippine Sea east of the Bicol Region, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

As of 5:00 p.m. on October 22, 2024, the center of #KristinePH was located 390 km east of Daet, Camarines Norte.

The storm is moving at a speed of 15 km/h in a west northwestward direction.

#KristinePH currently has maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near its center, with gustiness reaching up to 90 km/h.

Severe Winds: The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds. Minor to moderate impacts from gale-force winds are possible in localities under Wind Signal No. 2, while minimal to minor impacts are expected in areas under Wind Signal No. 1.

The highest Wind Signal that may be raised during the occurrence of #KristinePH is Wind Signal No. 3. Additionally, the wind flow from #KristinePH and the Northeasterly Windflow will bring strong to gale-force gusts over several areas.

Track and Intensity Outlook: #KristinePH is forecast to move generally northwestward until it makes landfall over Isabela or northern Aurora tomorrow evening (October 23) or early morning on Thursday (October 24). It will then cross the mountainous terrain of Northern Luzon and emerge over the waters west of Ilocos Region on Thursday afternoon or evening. #KristinePH may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) region on Friday (October 25). Changes in the forecast track are possible due to the influence of surrounding weather systems.

#KristinePH is expected to gradually intensify into a severe tropical storm before making landfall, with slight weakening anticipated while crossing Northern Luzon. Re-intensification may occur over the West Philippine Sea.
