A telecom lineman died and three others were injured after the multicab they were riding crashed into a power pole in Barangay Nagsurot, Burgos, Ilocos Norte.
The impact damaged the front part of the multicab severely and the passengers were trapped in the vehicle.
Police responded immediately and rushed the victims to the hospital, but the driver was declared dead on arrival.
Based on investigation, the vehicle crashed into the pole when the driver dozed off reportedly behind the wheel.
The three injured passengers received treatment.
