Just two weeks before Undas 2024, floodwaters at cemeteries in Calasiao, Pangasinan and Masantol, Pampanga are showing no sign of receding.

In parts of Sison Cemetery in Calasiao, Pangasinan, stagnant water still lingers, making the area muddy and hard to navigate.

Overgrown grass has also taken over some graves, though a few early visitors have already started cleaning the sites.

In Barangay San Nicolas, Masantol, Pampanga, several graves remain submerged due to the area's flood-prone nature.

According to local officials, the issue has persisted for years, especially after road elevations caused cemetery grounds to be neglected.

Visitors in flooded areas have resorted to lighting candles on pathways.

Similar flooding is affecting some cemeteries in Macabebe and San Rafael, where locals must wade through water to pay respects.
