A two-year-old boy died after he stumbled and fell into a cauldron filled with boiling water in Barangay Nibaliw, San Fabian, Pangasinan.

According to his grandmother, Vivian Navarro, she was boiling water on October 17, 2024 to treat her ill husband when the accident happened.

The boy was rushed to the Region 1 Medical Center in Dagupan City.

Despite efforts to save him, he died the next day due to severe burns.

Navarro expressed her grief over the incident.

The Department of Health advises that in cases of severe burns, cold compress should be applied, and the burn should be covered with a bandage.

They also remind people not to apply ointments, instead, seek immediate medical attention.
