A double murder complaint has been filed against the wife of the alleged mastermind in the tragic killing of an online selling couple in Pampanga.

In a report by Jun Veneracion on 24 Oras, the victims’ family revealed that the suspects even attended the wake before they were caught.

The Pampanga police have already detained the alleged mastermind behind the murder of Arvin and Lerma Lulu.

Following this, the police filed double murder charges against his wife.

They also plan to request a local bulletin order from the Bureau of Immigration to prevent her from leaving the country.

"Base doon sa ating mga statements of witnesses and other evidence, ay kasama siya sa pagkakaroon ng pag-uusap yung mastermind at yung mga gunmen," P/BGen. Redrico Maranan of the Police Regional Office (PRO)-3 said.

The Lulu family was shocked that the suspects still attended the wake.

"Nalaman pa namin na pumunta pa sila sa burol nina ate at kuya. Hindi ko alam paano nila nasikmura na nakita 'yung family namin na umiiyak, na nagmo-mourn," Alyssa Lulu, the sister of one of the victims, said.

Investigators discovered that the mastermind allegedly owed the couple P13 million for beauty products they acquired.

To escape this debt, they allegedly hired gunmen for P900,000.

On October 15, 2024, police announced the arrest of seven individuals, including the alleged mastermind.

Authorities revealed that the couple was not the only ones targeted. The alleged mastermind also allegedly borrowed P27 million worth of beauty products from a supplier in Nueva Ecija.

"So lumalabas na parang modus operandi na nila 'yun, na mangungutang, mag-iissue ng cheque, tas later on ipapatay ang kanilang inutangan," Maranan said.

During a visit to Pampanga, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla emphasized the need to dismantle gun-for-hire groups in Central Luzon, especially with the upcoming 2025 midterm elections.

"I gave them a deadline na bago matapos ang March dapat nakuha na lahat yan," he said.
