Authorities intercepted a shipment containing P8.3 million worth of ecstasy tablets hidden in a cargo from the Netherlands at the Port of Clark.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) found a total of 4,891 ecstasy tablets, also known as party drugs.

The contraband was concealed inside boxes of espresso capsules and coffee beans.

The shipment was flagged during an X-ray inspection and was seized for violation of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act and RA 9165.
