With fuel prices on the rise, the One Pangasinan Transport Federation is considering a petition to increase jeepney fares to P15 from the current P13.

Passengers have mixed reactions.

Even jeepney drivers are divided.

"Pabor sa amin yun kasi mataas yung diesel," Daniel Jimenez, a jeepney driver, said.

According to Bernard Tuliao, president of the transport federation, they are consulting various government agencies and sectors before filing a formal fare hike petition.

"Mayroon kaming kinakausap na ahensiya tulad ng Department of Energy, Commission on Higher Education, DepEd (Department of Education), mga commuter sector, [at] mga estudyante," Tuliao said.
