A rider and his companion died after the motorcycle they were on collided with a bus in Barangay Tambac, Dagupan City, on Saturday, October 12, 2024.
The bus was overtaking another bus when it collided head-on with the approaching motorcycle.
“Nag-overtake ‘yung bus [at may] nakasalubong na motor na may passenger. Timing na pagkabangga niya, biglang sumalpok ‘yung motorsiklo,” PCPT Shayne Daciego of Dagupan City Police Station, said.
Both victims sustained severe head and body injuries. They were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
Authorities are now investigating the bus driver, who has not yet given a statement.
