Authorities seized suspected illegal drugs worth more than P7 million and arrested four drug suspects in separate buy-bust operations in Butuan City.

In Barangay Libertad, a 38-year-old man was arrested with sachets of suspected shabu weighing more than a kilo worth more than P6.9 million; cellphone; and drug paraphernalia.

After learning that the suspect had companions in the illegal drug trade, anti-illegal drug operatives launched another buy-bust operation and arrested a 37-year-old man and two women at a house in Barangay Villa Kananga.

Seized from their possession were sachets of suspected shabu and marijuana worth around P125,000.

The suspects are now detained and will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).

The suspects did not issue a statement.
