An incumbent barangay councilman of Barangay Ilihan in Sibagat, Agusan del Sur was arrested in a buy-bust operation on Tuesday, October 8, 2024.
Police and agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Caraga (PDEA-13) arrested the suspect after he allegedly caught in the act of peddling suspected shabu to an undercover agent.
The suspected shabu seized was worth around P10,000.
PDEA-13 said the suspect was arrested in 2016 for drug charges, but the court dismissed the case.
The suspect is now detained and will charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Act (RA 9165).
