It is Janice vs. Janice in the Third District of the Province of Negros Oriental.
On the last day of filing of Certificate of Candidacy (COC) on October 8, 2024, two Janices are set to face off in the Third Legislative District of Negros Oriental in the 2025 midterm elections.
Janice Teves Gaston, an aunt of former governor Pryde Henry Teves and ousted congressman Arnolfo Teves, Jr., filed her COC on October 8, 2024.
The other Janice is the widow of slain governor Roel Degamo – Janice Vallega Degamo.
The two will battle it out for the post that was once occupied by Arnie Teves, Jr. who has been dismissed after getting implicated in the Pamplona massacre that killed then governor Roel Degamo inside his residence while carrying out services to constituents.
