The robbery of a store in Sitio San Miguel, Barangay Apas, Cebu City was caught on camera.

The suspect was arrested in a follow-up operation of the Mabolo Police Station.

The male suspect pretended to be a customer out to buy softdrinks. He was wearing a full-face helmet.

When the store attendant handed over to him the item, he pulled out a gun and aimed it at her and demanded to have the cellphone. But when he noticed there were other cellphones, he asked for the other two and fled on board a motorcycle he parked by the roadside.

The store attendant said that the incident happened at past 6 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024. She said she was startled at the incident, and out of fear she handed all three cellphones over to the robber.

The suspect did not ask for money, though.

Members of Police Station 4 of the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) collared the 43-year-old suspect in Sitio Kanaas Banawa in Barangay Guadalupe.

It was learned that the suspect is a fish vendor.

A 38-caliber pistol was seized from the suspect. He was wearing reportedly the same clothes seen on the CCTV footage when he was nabbed.

Suspected shabu that weighed 15 grams with an estimated street value of P102,000 was also seized from his possession.

The suspect refused an interview, but his wife said that aside from illegal drugs the suspect also has an addiction for online gambling.
