Former Pangasinan governor Amado Espino III has filed his certificate of candidacy, setting up a rematch with incumbent Governor Ramon Guico III in #Eleksyon2025.

This will be the second time the two will face off after Guico won in 2022, securing 888,027 votes to Espino’s 699,441.

Espino, along with his running mates for vice governor and board members under the Abante Pangasinan Ilocano (API) party, arrived at the COMELEC Provincial Office on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

With the anticipated race between Espino and Guico, the COMELEC and PNP are working closely to ensure a smooth filing and peaceful election period.

Ericson Oganiza said.
