Authorities seized over 155 kilos of alleged smuggled frozen goods from stores allegedly owned by Chinese nationals in Davao City.
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, personnel of the National Meat Inspection Services-Davao (NMIS-11) and Food and Drug Administration-Davao (FDA-11) launched a series of operations, which resulted in the confiscation of alleged smuggled frozen items from three shops allegedly owned by Chinese nationals.
The seized frozen goods were chicken worth more than P48,000.
The management of the stores reportedly failed to present documents for the goods.
The confiscated goods were turned over to the NMIS-11 Disposal Committee.
