Heavy rains and flooding brought by Typhoon #JulianPH have caused flight cancellations, evacuations, and damage to key infrastructure in Ilocos Norte.

Flights at Laoag International Airport have been canceled as Typhoon Julian continues to bring heavy rain to Ilocos Norte since Saturday, September 28, 2024.

Several roads have been flooded, and families from Barangay 32-C La Paz in Laoag City were evacuated.

The local government quickly provided assistance to affected residents.

Authorities are also closely monitoring the rising water levels in Padsan River.

In Adams, the Bolo River Flood Control Project suffered severe damage, and nearby roads have cracked.

Flooding also affected homes in Barangay Root, Dingras, and Vintar, where residents were evacuated as water levels surged.

In Bangui, strong water currents from Bislak River are threatening to damage Abot Bridge at the boundary of Barangay Lanao and Malasin, as the water continues to rise.
