More than P23 million worth of dried marijuana bricks were seized by authorities in Tabuk City, Kalinga, on Friday afternoon, September 27, 2024.
According to the Tabuk Philippine National Police (PNP), they acted on a tip that a tourist was transporting illegal drugs back to Manila.
In the operation, police discovered 197 marijuana bricks concealed under personal items and vegetables inside a sports utility vehicle (SUV).
The drugs were allegedly beingsmuggled out of the province.
The three suspects, whose names were not disclosed, are currently in police custody.
Authorities are preparing formal charges against them.
