A father was arrested after his 12-year-old daughter complained of rape against him.

The incident happened allegedly at about 3 a.m. on September 27, 2024 in the City of Naga, south Cebu.

The victim, a Grade 7 student, was accompanied by her class adviser at the police station at 3:30 p.m. on that day.

The 40-year-old father, who works as a mechanic for motorcycles, was snagged in a follow-up operation of the Naga Police at 4:30 p.m. on the same day in Sitio Eskina Gamay, Barangay Inayagan, City of Naga.

The victim narrated that she was waken up by a kiss from a man she identified to be her father. She said that her father kissed her on the lips.

She said that her father started removing her pajamas and underwear, and groped her private parts.

It was learned that the girl's parents have separated.

The suspect denied vehemently the accusation.

City of Naga Police have prepared a case for incest against the suspect.
