The number of people who died from dengue in Tagum City has climbed to nine, the  City Health Office (CHO) said.

According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, data from the CHO showed that two more people have recently died because of the disease.

The fatalities include a three-year-old child from Barangay Madaum and a seven-year-old child from Barangay Cuambogan.

The total number of dengue cases in the city has reached to 1,781 since January 2024, with Barangay Visayan Village having the most cases.

Health authorities reminded the public anew to practice the 5S habit against dengue, which include search and destroy, self-protection, seek early consultation, support fogging, and sustain hydration.
