Authorities confiscated alleged smuggled cigarettes worth more than P18 million from two abandoned trucks in Parang, Maguindanao del Sur.
Police and other law enforcement agencies recovered around 490 boxes of alleged smuggled cigarettes.
The items were seized from two wing van trucks abandoned in the area.
According to the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR), a concerned citizen reported about the abandoned trucks.
No one was in the trucks when authorities arrived.
Authorities have opened an investigation into the incident.
