Two men were killed while four others were injured in a clash between two armed groups in Malabang, Lanao del Sur.
Police said those who were wounded are residents of Malabang town and Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte.
Authorities are still identifying the fatalities, as of this writing.
According to the Lanao del Sur Provincial Police Office, the firefight between the two armed groups started around two weeks ago.
Police and military have implemented tight security measures, especially that the midterm election is coming.
