A barangay chairman and his son were gunned down by unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants in San Juan, Ilocos Sur evening on September 23, 2024.
Barangay Caronoan Chairman, Bello Valorozo, 52, and his 24-year-old son, Jumar, were shot as they turned a corner in Barangay Lapting at around 7 p.m.
Police said the victims were hit multiple times. They did not make it to the hospital alive.
Investigators recovered three .45 caliber bullet casings and a slug from the crime scene.
Investigation is ongoing as the police hunt the suspects, as of this writing.
The victim's family is yet to release a statement.
