Authorities have launched an investigation into a robbery at an auto parts shop in General Santos City.

The incident was captured on CCTV camera.

In the video, the suspects were seen carting away a transmission gear box worth around P15,000.

According to the owner of the shop, it was the third time that the shop was robbed but it was only this time when the incident was captured on CCTV.

“Medyo subo pamalandungon kay tulo na ni nahitabo sa amoa diri… sayang lang atong gamit kawaton lang sa mga tao nga mga tapulan,” the shop owner, Jojo Guardiario, said.

He said a separate robbery incident also happened at another shop in the area.

“Ang modus anang mga tawhana halos mga shop gud na ilang tirada, ambut murag naa guru silay mga kontak nga mga buyer nga ing ana nga piyesa nga gikinahanglan,” Guardiario added.

Police said the CCTV footage will be useful in running after the perpetrators.

“Fortunately, may CCTV naman yung shop nila. Hopefully, ma-identify natin yung identity ng mga suspek. Makita man yung mga description ng mga suspek natin. Yun yung pina-follow up ng mga investigator natin ngayon para ma-check din natin sa mga previous record sa atin kung may mag-match sa mga personalities,” PS 2-General Santos Police Station Deputy Station Commander, Capt. Cyrus Vince Arro, said.
