Residents of at least nine barangays in the second district of Cagayan de Oro may cast their votes in the 2025 midterm elections inside the mall.

This is a program of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) to make the voting process comfortable.

The barangays whose residents may vote inside the mall are those that have less than 1,000 registered voters.

COMELEC has yet to disclose the names of the barangays.

“In place na, kini naka-signature na sila, consulted na ani… nag-submit na mi og mga signature nila… nag-signify ang mga botante mismo… more than one half sa kada precinct, gi-publish na, gi-post na, unya waiting mi approval sa Manila,” Atty. Ramil Acol, election officer of the 2nd District of Cagayan de Oro, said.

COMELEC has already delisted several non-active voters and urged the public to take advantage of the remaining 10 days before the voter registration ends on September 30, 2024.
