A 40-year-old woman was arrested with suspected shabu worth more than P1.5 million in a buy-bust operation in Camiguin.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Caraga (PDEA-13) and PDEA-10 arrested the suspect in Guinsiliban town.
Authorities said the suspect is a resident of Buenavista, Agusan del Norte, but she is allegedly operating outside the province.
Seized from her possession were sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 220 grams.
She is now detained and will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act (RA 9165).
“Despite Camiguin Province being recognized as a drug-cleared province, this operation highlights that the possibility of illegal drugs entering the province remains. In response, the PDEA, in close coordination with other law enforcement units and the Local Government of Camiguin, remains vigilant, working hand in hand to protect the community and maintain Camiguin's drug-cleared status,” PDEA-10 said.
