Authorities confiscated 130 weighing scales allegedly uncalibrated in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.
Personnel of the Tagum City Economic Enterprise Office seized the weighing scales from different public markets in the city.
Aside from being uncalibrated, the weighing scales are also allegedly not registered.
However, owners may still get the weighing scales back as long as they comply with requirements. Unclaimed weighing scales will be disposed of.
Consumers are reminded to report uncalibrated and defective weighing scales to authorities.
