A drug suspect was killed after he allegedly fought back against authorities during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Ilang, Davao City.
According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, the suspect was considered among the top five high value individuals in the illegal drug trade in the city.
Police said the suspect fired shots at the operating team while trying to escape together with 10 other suspects.
Operatives cornered the suspect but instead of surrendering, the suspect alleged fired shots again, forcing authorities to return fire.
The suspect did not reach the hospital alive.
Authorities seized guns, ammunition, and seven sachets of suspected shabu.
