Five minors, 15 to 17 years old, were rescued in Angeles, Pampanga from a man who allegedly offered them to foreign clients.

The suspect was arrested.

In a report by John Consulta on 24 Oras, the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) raided a local resort after delivering marked money to the suspect.

The suspect, who allegedly had been operating for two years, used social media to attract clients and arranged transportation to various resorts and motels.

“Hindi po siya [yung suspek] nage-engage pag hindi foreigner yung parokyano. Meron na po silang mga resort at mga motel na sadyang pinagdadalhan ng mga biktima at hinahatid po nila ito, door to door," Atty. Heli Tiu, Chief of the NBI Counter Intelligence Division, said.

The suspect faces charges of qualified human trafficking, which is a non-bailable offense punishable by life imprisonment.

The minors were turned over to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Angeles.
