At least 25 river watchers were deployed to the Angalacan River in Mangaldan, Pangasinan amid #GenerPH.

The watchers are tasked to check the water level and secure the area, a proactive measure put in place by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Mangaldaan.

Inspectors confirmed that water levels were normal, but continued vigilance was required.

Markers were placed along the riverbank to help residents monitor the water level.

Residents and visitors were advised against swimming in the river to prevent accidents.

The Angalacan River, a favorite spot for picnickers, continued to attract visitors even with unfavorable weather.

"Para sa akin kasi, ok 'yun para sa kaligtasan ng mga tao, mga pumupunta dito kasi mahilig silang pumasyal dito," Beverly Estero, a resident, said.
