Pangasinan's Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) has raised its status to Red Alert as the province braces for the impact of Tropical Depression #GenerPH.

The province is under under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1.

"Heightened alert po ang ating monitoring. Massive info dissemination. Ready na ang water assets," Vincent Jun Chiu, PDRRMO Operations Chief, said.

The PDRRMO is monitoring several rivers in the province closely, including Bued River in San Fabian, Sinocalan River in Sta. Barbara, and Agno River in Rosales and Bayambang.

As of morning of September 16, 2024, water at the Marusay River in Calasiao has risen to 5.5 feet above its normal level.

Rescue equipment and emergency vehicles have been positioned with responders on standby.

"Expect po natin na makakaranas tayo ng moderate to heavy rains sa Pangasinan," Chiu said.
