Severe Tropical Storm (STS) "Bebinca" weakens into a tropical storm.

State weather bureau PAGASA issued Tropical Cyclone Advisory Number 6 on STS Bebinca weakening into a tropical storm. The advisory was issued at 11 a.m. on September 13, 2024.

As of 10 a.m., the center of Tropical Storm (TS) Bebinca was estimated based on all available data at 1,500 km East of Extreme Northern Luzon (22.6°N, 136.2°E)

Intensity:

Maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 105 km/h, and central pressure of 992 hPa

Present Movement:

North northwestward at 20 km/h

Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds:

Strong to gale-force winds extend outwards up to 680 km from the center.
