Another spike in dengue cases in just one week has been reported in Tagum City, Davao del Norte.

Based on data from the City Health Office (CHO), 70 new cases of dengue have been recorded from September 1 to 7, 2024.

The total number of cases since January 2024 has reached nearly 1,600 with seven reported deaths.

Barangay Visayan Village has the most cases with 240, followed by Mankilam with 211, and Apokon with 195.

Health authorities reminded the public anew to practice the 5S habit against dengue, which include search and destroy, self-protection, seek early consultation, support fogging, and sustain hydration.
