Authorities seized P10.2 million worth of shabu from a high-value target during a raid in Tuguegarao City on September 5, 2024, following weeks of monitoring.

The operation was conducted by the Tuguegarao Component City Police Station (TCCPS) with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) after a search of the suspect's residence.

The suspect, known as 'Macky,' 39, married, and a resident of Barangay Bagay, was arrested following intense monitoring and validation of his illegal activities.

His name had appeared on a "watchlist" of individuals suspected of engaging in illegal drug operations.

During the raid, 16 sachets of suspected shabu, weighing approximately half a kilogram, were seized.

An additional kilogram of shabu was found in another bag, bringing the total value of the drugs to P10.2 million.

Authorities also discovered a firearm with a magazine and 10 bullets hidden in the suspect’s home.

All pieces of evidence recovered are with the police and PDEA Region 2.

Charges for violating RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and RA 10591 (Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition Act) are being prepared against the suspect.
