Police have raided an alleged Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO) hub inside a subdivision in Barangay Cugman, Cagayan de Oro.

The inspection stemmed from a piece of information received by authorities that a POGO is operating in the area.

During the operation, police found that the area appeared to be dormant. However, some materials allegedly used by a POGO were still there, including computer desks, chairs, among others.

According to the caretaker of the place, operations in the area no longer resumed when it closed in 2023.

However, police will continue to monitor the area to prevent illegal gambling operations in the city.

Police also clarified that there are no sightings of Chinese nationals in the area.
