Suspected shabu that weighed about five kilos was seized from a 42-year-old suspect in Tagbilaran City, Province of Bohol.
The illegal drugs have an estimated street value of P34 million.
A buy-bust operation was carried out at around 9 p.m. on September 9, 2024 by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 along with Naval Forces Central, Philippine Maritime Police, and Bohol Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit.
The buy bust was conducted in Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City that led to the arrest of the 42-year-old suspect identified as Robert Tiro.
The case build-up took a month prior to the buy-bust operation.
Tiro will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11 of Article 2 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
