A fire broke out early morning in Sabangan, Mountain Province on Sunday, September 9, 2024, destroying six homes and displacing five families, with damage estimated at P2.7 million.

Firefighters from nearby towns, including Capinitan, Balili, Bauko, and Bontoc, arrived shortly after the fire was reported at 2:56 a.m.

The fire was placed under control by 4:45 a.m. and extinguished completely by 5:15 a.m.

No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the blaze.
