A female teacher was arrested with suspected illegal drugs in a sting operation in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Zamboanga (PDEA-9) arrested the 59-year-old teacher identified as alias “Maria.”
Seized from the suspect were sachets of suspected shabu worth more than P1 million.
The suspect is reportedly considered a high value individual in the illegal drug trade and has long been monitored by PDEA-9.
Authorities are also looking into whether the suspect was selling illegal drugs to her students.
The suspect is now detained and will face charges.
