The Office of the President has issued a freeze order and a provisional assets preservation order on all items found at the illegal POGO (Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations) hub in Tourist Garden Hotel, Barangay Agus, Lapu-Lapu City.

The order followed after the implementation of search warrants on two edifices in the said hotel. Operatives of the National Bureau of Investigation 7 implemented the search in the hotel's Building 3 with two rooms and Building 5 with three rooms on September 5, 2024.

During the search, operatives found an array of computer sets, various cellular phones, Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) cards, vault, and documents.

Scripts written in Chinese characters were found believed used in the scamming operations.

“Initially we have seized eight million two hundred pesos (P8,000,200) from this establishment which we will be using as evidence for our money laundering cases,” Atty. Renan Augustus Oliva, NBI 7 director.

Among the items ordered held in an order by the Office of the President are 12 vehicles.

The orders were signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin who is the chairman of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission.
